Thank you for sending this interesting lesson. As a non-native English speaker I can assure you idioms are a headache for us. The topic was also pretty attractive since I live in an area where earthquakes, aftershocks and tremors are “like a dime of dozen”, considering my province, Catamarca,in the northwest of Argentina, is in a major fault line. In 2007 we were hit by a big earthquake of 7.8 magnitude. The epicenter took place a couple of kms away. The rattling was so scary, all of a sudden we were swaying without being able to weed through the doors!!! In spite of the earthquake magnitude, the death toll was “zero”. Only buildings were damaged and what it was really weird was that in the Ancasti mountain there was a landslide which left the image of our Virgen Mary called here Virgen del Valle!!!!! She definitely protected and saved us!!!!
