I agree with you . It is very good step . I spent 6 years learn English word by word now I discovered It is very bad It makes me not familar enough with language

i think this course is really helpful, especially to me. I have learnt English for a long time but i can not be confident to talk with people in English. this is because i try to express my thought but they can not understand me or sometimes what they say do not make sense to me. therefore i know that my everyday English is not good.the first rule to be good at English conversation is extremely right. as far as i know, in the every day English people use a lot of idioms which we can not translate word by word. in contrast, we have to guess the meaning of the idiom by understanding the meaning of the whole phrase. one of the example is the idiom” let the cat out of the bag”. in fact, i often learn English in the old way in which i learn the meaning of each word. from now on i see that i should change the method to learn better. thank you so much for helping me

thank you for this rule, I didn´t know that I always studied learning word by word and I really think that it´s my great problem but thanks a lot, I´m fallowing your rule step by step and I hope that one day could talk as native speakers thanks for all.
